peoplefone MEET

Summary

Would you like to hold a meeting with several colleagues, sell your product or give advice? With just a few clicks, you can schedule encrypted audio and video conferencing over the Web, sharing presentations, documents, and Web pages with meeting participants, or drawing together on the whiteboard. You can choose how many sessions you want to make simultaneously through your peoplefone account. You can choose from 1 to maximum 5 concurrent sessions, with each session requiring a session organizer with a personal email address. Then you decide how long you want to benefit from the web conferencing feature and pay the subscription fee directly through your peoplefone account «Login» «Features» «peoplefone MEET». All session participants receive an e-mail with the link to the session for each session and can participate in the session directly at the workplace using their own webcam. Very simple!

The program works on all common operating systems such as Android, Linux, OSX and Windows, a current version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or the Opera browser.

Located in Switzerland for more privacy

peoplefone MEET Rooms runs completely on servers in Switzerland. Your data is subject to Swiss data protection law, your privacy is protected. Switzerland knows no secret court orders. Our laws protect your business data, regardless of whether your company is registered in Switzerland or not.

Encrypted to protect your data

Any communication entering and leaving our servers is encrypted. The audio and video conversation will be encrypted during their entire duration. It happens, whenever possible, directly between the Participants without the data streams flowing through our servers. We encrypt all passwords with an additional, individual and random security component (“salt”).

Prepaid customers – Can carry out the ordering process independently according to the instructions below.

Select the number of rooms (simultaneous meetings) and the respective duration of use. Then click on “Add to Cart”.

Select your Payment Method and click on “Continue”.

Types of meetings

Standard

This popular peoplefone MEET room is the right size for team collaboration, business meetings, tutoring, consulting, and many other uses. With room for five participants, it provides a wide array of features from interactive white board to screen sharing, live chat, document sharing, presentations, and more.

Audio and video is delivered peer-to-peer between end user devices, and supporting documents are sent to the server to generate a convenient summary that is emailed to participants at the conclusion of the meeting. This standard solution is ideal for everyday business videoconferencing.

Recording the meeting and dial-in by phone is not possible in the Standard Room.

Off the Record

With Off the Record, the same number of participants applies as in the Standard Room, but the connection is encrypted end-to-end.

Audio only Room

In the audio only room, up to 30 participants per audio can be set using the peoplefone MEET settings.

Boardroom

Larger groups can meet using the Boardroom feature, which hosts up to 10 participants with audio and video, so that everyone can be seen and heard. Distributed teams can use this size of virtual meeting room to collaborate on complex projects where the conversation needs to include everyone. The Boardroom is also ideal for formal meetings such as annual or quarterly reviews and planning sessions.

The meeting can either be recorded or it can allow dial-in by phone. The dial-in numbers are sent with the invitation.

Webinar

The Webinar allows one or more presenters to share information with up to 50 participants. This configuration is designed for educational webinars, training events, and other large scale presentations. The full range of features of peoplefone MEET, including whiteboard, screen sharing, and document exchange, is available to everyone. Precisely adjustable authorizations can be used to control who has access to which functions and when. Participants can be switched on at any time to ask a question live. A summary of the lesson can be automatically sent to all participants upon request.

The meeting can either be recorded or it can allow dial-in by phone. The dial-in numbers are sent with the invitation.

Functions

Show your presentation live to the other participants in the meeting to clarify your point of view with clear imagery and powerful text. Thanks to the drawing function important points on the slides can be highlighted in real time.

Audio and video conference

Experience crystal-clear voice and video communication during your virtual meeting. With the latest technology, we ensure that every person can be seen and heard at your meeting.

Screen sharing

Share your screen or a single application window with your meeting participants. Participants can switch to full-screen mode and follow their mouse pointer in detail and with exceptionally good transmission quality.

Whiteboard

Use the whiteboard to sketch ideas with the meeting participants. You can draw freehand or use existing shapes to visualize your thoughts. You can then save the entire whiteboard as a PDF on your computer.

Exchange documents

Upload documents for presentation, discussion and collaboration and share them with all participants. The documents can be deleted from our servers after the session.

Meeting-Protocols

Create your log for later, during the session. Split this task among the team members so that everyone can contribute at the same time. or create private logs for your own reference, which can only be viewed by you.

Real-time text chat

Expand your communication and support the collection of ideas with text chat. Send and receive messages immediately.

Compatibility

Browser compatibility – We recommend that you use the browser GOOGLE CHROME or FIREFOX. If you have SAFARI or INTERNET EXPLORER; expect the first time with 5-10 minutes lead time to make any plugin installation. Security and Privacy Questions

Is this service secure?

All communication between your browser and the servers use 256-bit TLS encryption. This is the same technology used by online banks and shopping sites. Audio and video conversation is entirely encrypted by the DTLS-SRTP standard. We hash every password in our database with individual salt.

Does this service is hosted in Switzerland?

All servers are physically located in Switzerland and managed by a Swiss hosting provider. We use a Swiss company provides us with SSL certificates. You receive the benefit of an entire service that is protected by Swiss laws.

What do we do with user data? Is it kept private?

We use customer data only for technical debugging and for anonymous usage statistics to improve the service. We will never access or read your data internally or externally. We will never give 3rd parties access to your data. We do not share your data with anyone except when we are legally obliged to do so under Swiss law. Please refer to our privacy policy for more information.

peoplefone Partners can activate peoplefone MEET for their customers directly through their Reseller Account.

Go to the customer’s menu and click on Subscriptions

Click on Add subscription

Select the number of rooms (simultaneous meetings) and the respective duration of use. Then click on “Add”.
